Culture is a Strategy

I recently had the pleasure to speak about culture at the Inform USA National Conference. More specifically about the importance of intentional culture development in any organization or group setting.

The vast majority of employees say culture creates loyalty and longevity. No, not money. If this is the case, then why are we not using culture as a strategy for competitive advantage?

Healthy, toxic or something in between, a culture already exists in your organization. The problem is a culture that is not intentional is also not sustainable. While that might sound like good news if your culture is not what you’d like it to be, your organization is probably spinning reactively in many areas due to its culture. And if your culture is great right now, without a plan and guideposts, it won’t last.

The opportunity lies in taking the time to identify, build and sustain a culture that allows an organization to meet and exceed its goals, attract and retain talent, and frankly enjoy where your team spends the majority of their waking hours. In fact, an in sync healthy culture can weather almost any storm.
Yellow Door provides teams not only with culture development, but also the tools needed to sustain that culture well into the future.

Do you trust your culture?
